Coming off a solid draw again Bermuda in the opening match of the CONCACAF Caribbean Women’s Qualifiers, on Wednesday evening at the National Track and Field Centre at Leonora, West Coast Demerara, Guyana’s Lady Jags will take on Suriname this evening to see if they can record their first host victory. The action starts from19:30 hrs, and Guyana will be up against a raging Suriname side made desperate by a 2-1 defeat by Barbados on Wednesday. Pyrotechnics and drama are accordingly expected.
Barbados, on the other hand, will be looking to continue their good fortune and secure another win when they take on Bermuda in the opening match of tonight’s double-header.
The Bajan team sits atop Group E with three points, while the hosts and Bermuda have both secured a point after their draw. Suriname is in the cellar position, and are yet to be recorded in the points’ standings.
On Sunday, the action returns to the West Demerara Coast with the final two matches: Suriname meeting Bermuda in the curtain raiser, then Guyana going head-to-head with Barbados to wrap up the night.
