Chinkoo enjoys successful stint in New York Cricket Leagues

Former Guyana Youth player Looknauth Chinkoo, has expressed his delight at his recent success playing in the New York Cricket Leagues. Chinkoo who Represented Essequibo and Guyana at the junior level predominantly as a right arm off spinner, has in recent times ,accredited himself as a genuine all rounder. The Right handed middle order batsman hails from Meten-Meer-Zorg on the West Coast of Demerara and plays for the Village Club on a consistent basis.

In the 2017 season he represented Gladiators Cricket Club ( Eastern American Cricket League), Todays Travel Service( Washington Cricket League) , Renegades , King Cobras  and Blasters. Across all competitions he tallied up 713 runs from 29 games , with 2 centuries and 4 fifties with a highest score of 104. Bowling his cannny off breaks he bagged 43 wickets with a best of 4 for 8.

Chinkoo is hoping his recent success abroad can translate to similar consistent performances in Guyana. His next task is the upcoming Jaguars Franchise league 50 over competition where he hopes to gain selection and do well.
