Yuvraj Singh’s father says Kholi and Dhoni ‘manipulated the selection’ after son omission

Indian team for Sri Lankan tour was announced on Sunday and Yuvraj Singh was axed while Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami were rested for the five-match One Day International series and one-off Twenty20 against Sri Lanka.
Manish Pandey and Mumbai’s Shardul Thakur were included in the 15-man squad announced after a two-hour long selection meeting.
Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal also got a call-up for the series starting from August 20. Left-handed batsman Suresh Raina, whose name was doing the rounds, was not included in the squad.
It will be tough for Yuvraj to make a comeback in the Indian team. We may not see the southpaw again in the blue jersey and that has bothered his father Yograj Singh. It was a bad time to announce the team as Yograj had to work on Sunday till late night. He had to prepare a verbal attack against the Indian captain, although it was easy for him. He just replaced “MS Dhoni” with “Virat Kohli” and *tada* it’s done.
Yograj started with the most expected line, “Virat Kohli will go penniless one day.” He also threatens to boycott Anushka Sharma’s movies. Singh further said, “I think Virat has played a game with my son. Dhoni is still in the team but Yuvraj is not. Dhoni and Virat take DRS decisions together, they manipulated the selection too.”
Yuvraj Singh doesn’t endorse his father’s words. Yuvraj said, “I really don’t know what he is saying. I apologize on his behalf. He called me last night and started saying all these things. He also said, Dhoni ka, Virat ka aur Flintoff ka, sabka badla lega re tera Yogi. I told him I already took revenge from Flintoff in that game only.”
Yograj Singh will be boycotting Anushka’s movies too. He is also planning to distribute free pirated DVDs of Anushka’s recently released “Jab Harry Met Sejal”. But Virat actually wants him to do that, it will lead him to more trouble, maybe, public thrashing for letting people watch that movie.
