University of Guyana (UG) upset Police Sports Club by three wickets, discarded national player Christopher Barnwell defended seven runs in the last over as Demerara Cricket Club edged Police Sports Club by three runs and Everest Cricket Club moved to two wins in as many matches when they got past Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) by two wickets were the action that took place in last weekend’s Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/ Carib Beer T20 First Division Tournament.

This weekend promises to be more exciting as teams seek wins for semifinal qualification when the action in the group stage intensifies.
In Saturday’s group B fixture, Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will clash with Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) at DCC ground in Queenstown while Everest will visit the Steven Jacobs led Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC). Exciting West Indies youth player, Bhaskar Yadram and the consistent Chandrapaul Hemraj will turn out for Everest who will be looking for a 100 percent record after disposing GYO and GCC.

Meanwhile on Sunday, MSC who beat GYO but lost to GCC will host GDF. All matches will get underway at 13:30h.
