Joseph’s career best upstage Walton’s century

Chadwick Walton marked his record Hero Caribbean Premier League contract with a commanding century for Jamaica Scorpions but it was fast bowler Keon Joseph with career best figures of 7-53 and teenage prodigy Shimron Hetmyer unbeaten on 51, who inspired Guyana Jaguars’ dominance at the end of day one of the sixth round of Cricket West Indies Digicel Regional Four Day Competition.

Walton, who went to the Guyana Amazon Warriors for US$110,000 in Hero CPL draft, led Scorpions to 255 all out with a top score of 101.

In reply Jaguars are well placed on 69 without loss, with Hetmyer is Tagenarine Chanderpaul unbeaten on 14.

Romario Shepherd collected two wickets on debut for the Jaguars while Gudakesh Motie Kanhai claimed the other wicket for the Jaguars.
