Hamilton’s helmet-trick helps Mahaica crush Buxton Youth Developers

A splendid   helmet-trick from Julius Hamilton powered Mahaica Determinators to a crushing 7-1 win over Buxton Youth Developers when the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 League continued on Sunday at the Golden Grove Ground.

Playing as part of the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) leg of matches, Hamilton opened his account with a goal in the 2nd minute which was followed by a Micheal Jardine goal in the 7th. The game progressed but Buxton could not find the back of the net as Martin  Wilson netted  32nd to end half time with his team in the ascendency.
One minute after play resumed Hamilton made yet another conversion, which was followed by his third in the 55th but Buxton responded in the 56th  when Meshane Thomas opened his account.
When it seemed Buxton could not endure any more torment at the hands of Mahaica, Hamilton added  his fourth when he scored in the 85th.
In the other match, BV/Triumph edged Plaisance Panther FC 2-1 via a double from the in-form Omari Glasgow who  recorded goals in the 56th and 67th; Jaheem Hinds was the lone scorer  for the  Panthers in the 21st.
Over in the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA), an Odel Duncan first half double inspired a crushing 4-1 win for Slingerz FC over Beavers at the Den Amstell ground. Duncan netted in the 4th and 11th minutes of play, setting the perfect platform for Slingerz’ eventual win. Troy Skeete added a goal of his own in the 5th minute which had doubled the advantage for Slingerz.
Beavers narrowed the deficit on 14 minutes through an Akeem Caesar effort but that turned out to be their lone goal of the match. Brentnol Bobb netted the fourth goal for Slingerz in the 47th minute to secure full points for his team.
Meanwhile, title sponsors NAMILCO, have been urging both players and persons at large to live a healthy lifestyle by indulging in the usage of its heath oriented products Maid Marian Harvest High Fibre Whole Wheat Flour, Maid Marian Wheat-Up Breakfast Porridge and Maid Marian Multigrain Flour among many other products.
